Dream job, Back to school, Summer time

I know...it's been a while! We've done a lot since my last post. I loved just about every minute of my first year teaching. There were only a few days I thought "why did I do this?" I have spent more time with my kids in the past nine months than I have since they were born. LOVE it! I have learned so much about myself and I do have a very generous heart. I was made for this job!!! We've been to Gatlinburg, stayed up late, watched movies, made popcorn, drank icee's, ate ice cream, bowled, rode bikes, went for walks, swam, laughed, cried, yelled, loved, played with cousins, went to the park, played baseball, made all-stars, traveled, went to Riverbend, played in the sprinkler, made water balloons, had friends stay the night, celebrated birthdays, went on field trips, WENT TO NEW YORK!, and headed to the beach. Those are just a few of the things that we've been up to recently. I have also went back to school. I am required to take 18 hours to earn my license to teach. So, I thought, why not go ahead and get my masters?! I finished my first class with an A!! And am currently taking 2 summer classes. So I'll be half way finished with my license classes. I still can't believe this dream has came true! I love it! Jason has been helping coach Jase's all-star team...love seeing him out there telling Jase what to do! We have several weeks of vacation left, and I'm sure we'll repeat some of the things we've already done! We'll be headed to the beach in a few weeks...more pictures to follow. Let me know what you've been doing.

Happy 1st Birthday Kaden

Today is our nephew, Kaden's, first birthday. I wish I could have been an aunt before I was a mommy, because I would have know what that kind of love was like. I love this little boy so much and so thankful that we get to spend time with him. I look forward to the day when he starts to ask to come and stay with us. He brings so much joy to our lives by his constant smile, belly laugh, sweet tooth, and his big blue eyes. Happy Birthday Kaden, we love you so much!

He's 2

I can honestly say that the last 2 years have flown by! I've enjoyed being a mommy to 2 boys! It's a challenge at times, but I love those kids more than they'll ever know. Today is Jax's 2nd Birthday and he'll tell you all about it! He woke up in the middle of the night (after Jase got in bed with us) crying for mommy. So Jason was sweet enough to go and get him. He woke up this morning and hugged my neck and said Hi Mommy. I asked him what today was and he said "Jax's birthday." So Jason and I proceeded to sing Happy Birthday to him. He knows he is 2 and wow he can say just about anything. We were talking the other day and we don't remember Jase talking this much. This kid talks NON STOP! He's such a sweet kid - for the most part. He loves playing outside and chicken nuggets (FINALLY). We are headed out to Warner Park for his birthday party and I'll update with pictures later. For now, it's time to celebrate!

Fathers Day

The greatest gift I ever had came from God; I call him Dad! I love my dad more than he'll ever know. I know he's super proud of me, but heck he needs to take credit for who I am. Without his love, patience (except with math homework), hard hand, firm rules, and guidance I wouldn't be who I am today. My parents were true role models and today I'm super thankful for their strict ways.

What a great Father's Day we had! It started with Church, quick lunch, change of clothes, and headed to the ball field! If we won our 1:00pm game we'd be done for the day!!! And since we won...we all headed back to our house for a feast and fellowship! Since it was Father's Day, I was in charge of the grill. We had steaks, twice baked potatoes, salad, corn on the cob, and lordy at the desserts: lemon supreme pound cake, homemade chocolate ice cream, and Brenda's applesauce (yes, it's a dessert-the way she fixes it :)

We had a nice relaxing day with all the ones we love: my parents, the in-laws, grandma, and my little nephew (and his parents). I've came to the realization that the only things that matter to me in life are: my personal relationship with my Lord and Savior, my husband, kids, and our family.

I honestly couldn't ask for a better daddy for our boys! God knew what he was doing when he paired Jason and I together. We are seriously like PB&J! We just go together - for the most part. He loves those kids just as much as he loves me. He is a far better dad than he has to be. I hope the boys grow up to be just like him - or even better! They have big shoes to fill :)

After everyone was gone, we headed out for a bike ride. I just about killed myself a few times but we had a nice evening. Thanks to my SIL, she caught all these snap shots of our evening!

Baseball=MVP

Vacation can't get here soon enough! We've lived at the baseball field since Jase made All Star's. We've made another extended family: The Middle Valley Predators (MVP). I can't complain, other than being tired, because he loves it and so do we! I just said last night, I can't believe I haven't taken my camera. But when you pack a wagon with: Jax, chairs, cooler, diaper bag, pulling a canopy, and anything else you can think of...I simply just forget. So, my goal this weekend is to find a sitter for Jax so I can enjoy watching my little right fielder play some baseball! He's ripping the ball, catching the ball, and throwing the ball all so well. We started the season off a little rusty, but it didn't take us long to get things into motion. We just finished up the East Ridge tournament last night and we placed 4th- not too bad out of 21 teams! The boys did awesome, they played 3 games last night. Needless to say, it was 11:30 before we got home and in the bed. If you want to find us, just look at the ball field and I'm sure you'll spot us. I honestly wouldn't trade this life for anything right now. I'm loving this time! I'll close by showing you how well Jax likes being at the ball field:

He was out like a light in his makeshift bed! He does really well and has so much fun yelling "GO, Go, Go, Go, Go!" I guess I must say that a lot!

Easter 2011 and extra's

We couldn't have had a better day on Sunday April 24, 2011! It was a beautiful day! With 2 little boys, you've got to be creative with the Easter outfit! We attend church outside at Coolidge Park so we can't be too fancy. I found a pair of seersucker shorts and got a white polo and had a sweet friend monogram their initials for us. I had two handsome boys that morning! Life is so hectic with 2 little boys and trying to participate in extra circulars. So, I attempted to snap a photo (while they were still neat and clean) before I went to sing in the choir and this is what I got:

I put the camera up and tried to hide my disappointment (it's only a picture!) and went to worship the Lord! Half way through our performance the sun popped out and wow...it was beautiful! I got back to my seat and wow the kids looked like they had been to a birthday party!

Oh my lordy...look at this little handsome fella and his beautiful mommy!

I could just eat him up!

After an awesome message brought by Brother Gary, we had a wonderful spread by several of our small group families. From smoked ribs, ham, fried chicken, chicken salad, potato salad, slaw, macaroni and cheese to all the sweets. Wow! We had the best time! The kids played a game of waffle ball and Jax just ran around like a free puppy! He used to be so shy and wouldn't let me get out of his sight...
I don't know what I was doing, but my camera never came back out of the bag so I missed lots of photo opts :(

But, here are several snap shots of the past few weeks.
It's baseball season and Jase is loving it! He's doing so well! Thus far, he's hit 3 home runs, several triples, several doubles, and only got out a few times! He started the season at 3rd base and after coach seeing how well he could make a throw from 3rd base to 1st...he was moved to the pitcher circle! We couldn't be more proud of this kid!

A few weeks ago, my sister-in-law's sister, Holly got married. She had a beautiful wedding and made a gorgeous bride. I got a few pictures and hope she won't mind that I'm posting them. So glad to have been a part of her special day!

Congrats to Holly and Adam. We wish you a lifetime of happiness.

We'll be back with more updates soon. Baseball season will be winding down and school will be out soon! So, we'll have plenty of time to just chill out!

I'm asking that you take the time to pray for many in our area. 6 tornado's hit our area on April 27 and several lost their lives and homes. Please pray for our community. Also, a close friend of the family just found out that her 3 year old niece has a lemon size tumor on her brain. They plan to operate Tuesday morning, please pray for Lilly and her family. We know we serve a great physician and just pray his hand is on that baby while in surgery. God bless!
