A night out

Last night to celebrate our anniversary we went to dinner at the Chop House...it's one our favorite places as a couple - we each love different places but we both really like this place so this was the chosen spot. We were greeted by a really sweet hostess that took us to our seat in the corner and as she sat us down she said - Do you know Heidi Moses? Yep I sure do, that's my SIL. She said I thought so...I went to Disney with you guys and played softball for Heidi. What a sweet girl. Dinner was great...talking with limited interruption! We love our boys, but a little adult conversation was really nice! We talked about what we've accomplished over the 8 years and what we are looking forward to.

That same sweet girl that sat us, Sara, took our picture for us!

I convinced Jason to just "run" in Kohls to get Jase a pair of flip flops for our upcoming trip and he reluctantly agreed. Well...no flip flops but 2 bathing suit bottoms later we headed home.

I must say a huge Thank you to Allison Tate for keeping the boys for us. I love that she loves kids so much! I left and never thought about the safety of the boys one bit. That makes a mommy happy! So Thank you Miss Allison! You made our night fabulous...

I did find it very funny that the first thing she said was "Jase got scratched" my response was ok - he'll be fine. She said No, really he got scratched. Well...I guess the appropriate way to put it...Jase got attacked by a stray cat! Seriously! He had puncture wounds all over his head and scratches from here to there. She said they were on the porch and she told Jase not to leave the porch while she went in to fix Jax a bottle. Well...Jase has had a problem with listening these days...so he saw a cat and went to pick it up. I think he learned a valuable lesson!

Thank you again Allison for taking time out of your day to watch our little Angels and allow Jason and I enjoy a night out. I hope you'll answer your phone the next time we need a night away!

Happy Anniversary

8 years ago today I woke up at really early at my mom and dad's house and thought...I'm ready to do this! This was the day that my life would change forever. I married my best friend, the person I laugh with, have cried with, the person that taught me to love and what true love is, the man that gave me our two boys, and someone to spend the rest of my life with. He has brought me closer to God and I've grown spiritually thanks to him. I can't imagine my life without him and look forward to the rest of my life. I wonder what God has planned for us next? I love you Jason, thank you for all that you do and for loving me as much as you do. You are a fantastic dad and great husband. Your humor always keeps me on my toes and my love for you has grown by leaps and bounds these past 8 years.

Fathers Day

I'm a little late posting due to all the fun we had yesterday on Father's Day. But I would like to wish my Daddy a Happy Father's day! He took me in when I was just a little one and has loved me just like I was his own. I love him so much and am so thankful that he loved my mom and I so much! He has been an awesome Papa to our boys and loves to teach them how to "work" and have fun. Jase thinks Papa can fix anything...guess I've sized him up well! My day didn't seem complete without getting a hug from him and hearing him tell me "Love you honey, be careful". Looking forward to a dinner by the water with him this weekend. He has been working his life away - 7 days a week and I can't even begin to tell you how many hours. Hope he gets a slow down soon to enjoy this awesome summer with us doing what he loves...

I also want you all to know how much I love Jason! He is an awesome dad! He loves the boys unconditionally. When he's tired (after working ALL night) he comes home and will wrestle, fix breakfast, change diapers, get kids dressed for school, and somehow manage to pick up the house. He is very patient and loving with the boys. I'm so thankful that our kids have such an awesome dad! We enjoyed the day by swimming and grilling out (I cooked...well almost...they were a little undercooked in the middle). Love you Jason!

Lately

Well, I know it's been a while, but we have had lots going on...finishing up ball season with our team party, packing, moving, looking for a new house, going from here to there, looking at house plans, swimming, playing with the boys, Kevin graduating from college, and just trying to enjoy life. It's so hot right now...I don't feel like doing much in my "free" time!
We sold the house and had to be out of there on May 28th. It was bitter sweet but now that we know what we are going to do...we are really excited.

This was the home that Jason and I bought in May of 2004 and where we started our family

This is a picture of the house we are in the process of building...it belongs to the Woodalls who are the parents of one of my best friends

We are going to have a front entrance to the garage, but for the most part our house will look very similar to this lovely home.

We are SO excited and can't believe this is all working out. We drove through this subdivision a few years ago and I told Jason we had no business there...cause we couldn't afford it but look what the Lord has done! Jase is very excited...because it (being the subdivision) will have a pool! Jason was excited about not having the upkeep of our own pool.

Other exciting news...Jax is almost a year old and Jase is just about to finish up his pre-K years and start school in August :( I never thought I would be so bothered by it because he has went to "school" for 3 1/2 years now...but the thought of him having to find his own seat at the lunch room, carry his own tray, use the restroom and WASH his hands all by himself is hard to swallow. He is excited about it...and I act like I am too.

We are starting the planning process for Jax's first Birthday party...I don't want this to happen! Where has the time gone. Honestly, it seems just like yesterday when we came home and began our family as 4. He is crawling around everywhere and following Jase as much as he can. He yells for Jase - it sounds just like ACE! So cute! He has 6 teeth - 4 on the top and 2 on the bottom. Doesn't want baby food...but EVERYTHING we eat. Loves ice cream and anything sweet...definitely a Moses! He is such a happy little boy who is very loving and sweet. Both of my boys are very loving!
Here are a few pictures of what's been going on...

Well...that's just a little update over the past few months. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our nephew Kaden. He isn't supposed to be here until mid August but we can't wait to show him how much we already love him. Hopefully it will take away this baby fever I'm starting to have again! You never know...we will have a 4th bedroom! Hope you all are enjoying your summer as much as we are!
