New month...new responsibilities

I wanted to share some exciting news with you all...I received a promotion here at EPB! I start my new position as a Service Repair Technician on December 7! Basically I will be responsible for keep up with about 5 Field Technicians. Maintaining their schedule and meeting the needs of the customer! I'm so thankful that God has opened this door for me and excited to begin my new position!

Also in December I am having surgery on my left eye. I am scared to death...scarey to think of something being done to your eye. Praying that God will be with me and provide peace for me.

My goal for the month is to have my new little boy's pictures made! I feel terrible that I have not had his picture made since the hospital. What is wrong with me??????

Here are the most recent pictures of Jase...his school pictures! Such a natural and did I mention...very cute!

We had a fantastic weekend...Friday night was family night at church with the Magician Scott Humston. Saturday I took the PRAXIS II test and went to Kevin's graduation party! Yes...I said graduation party!!! We are so excited and proud of him. I know Heidi will be releived when he is done!

And Sunday I went shopping with my mom...was so nice to have some time with her. We took Jax with us and boy he reminded me how much he HATES being in the car :( I'm having Jason install the big car seat tonight...just to see how he does.

Jase starts basketball practice tomorrow! Can you believe it??? My little baby boy is old enough to play basketball...where has the time gone? I love you little big boy! I'll post pictures tomorrow of our fun events.

Here is one to hold you over...

14 weeks

WOW!!! It's been 14 weeks since we welcomed little Jax. Life hasn't been the same! He is such a happy baby compared to his big brother! You all know that Jase cried for four solid months! Well..Jax seems to be a great baby except for in the car! We've tried everything...other than a new car seat. Just hard to give up something that you paid almost $300 for! But we are almost there. Not a lot has changed...just our normal busy lives! Being back at work hasn't been that bad...but I'd rather be home with the boys...but we have a great preschool to send Jase to and my grandmother keeps Jax. Here are a few new pictures of our two sweet boys...

And at bed time...

Jax wasn't in the mood for pictures last night...but they are still cute! He is getting so big!

And one more...

Oh...I almost forgot to mention...Mike (my father-in-law0 retired last Friday (11/6/09) He decided that he needed to have emergency surgery to go out with a bang! Well, he didn't decide that his appendix should rupture. After a long day at the doctor's office and emergency surgery...he is feeling much better. I'm sure Brenda is thinking wow what have I gotten myself into??? I'm sure those two will be having the time of their lives!

Oh...and my aunt got a new house!!! So, my other aunt bought her house and my grandmother has landed herself a old but new place! We have worked so hard over there for about a week (laying hardwood, painting, and just cleaning)! I'm so happy for her! She and Maggie (her dog) are loving the new place! Thanks Jerri for getting a new place and thanks Janice for buying another rental property! Hopefully you'll remember me when you get rich one day! I loved spending time with my family this past week. I wish that we didn't have to work as hard as we did...mom hurt her back really bad. After a MRI...she learned that she has a pulled muscle. But everything is going well.

Well, I have to get ready for a meeting so I will sign off for now. I will update you later on!

Lots of updates: Fun fall activities and Kevin's birthday dinner

We love to surprise people...so last Tuesday we went to watch Heidi coach (she coaches Volleyball at Ooltewah). This was the regional and they WON! They played Thursday night and earned their spot at State! Good job ladies!

And after the game Jase decided he wanted to stay the night with Heidi. We were worried that we would get a phone call at bed time as we have done on the other over night attempts...but we were wrong!!! I got a call Wednesday morning from Jase saying: "Mommy, I stayed the night with Heidi! And I am staying for 80 days!" He was so excited and I think Heidi was too!

Last Thursday we went to Disney on Ice...Finding Nemo. Jase was so excited! It was a great show and awesome seats (THANKS MAMAW)!
Here is Jase watching intensely

And here is what Little Jax did during Disney on Ice...

Saturday night we took the boys to the Hamilton County Fantasy Maze

Jase had a great time and this was his favorite...

Look closely...it looks like there is an Amazing Spider man in that picture...wonder who that is?

Here is Jase and Scooby

We finally had the chance to celebrate Kevin's birthday Monday night. Jase worked so hard on a card for Kevin. He wanted me to put some candy together for Kevin...and that was his gift

Here he is with his favorite aunt and uncle...

Last night we went over to the Caldwells for dinner...we were supposed to be playing ball but we got rained out! So we took pizza over and let the boys play for a while...here are the wild ones eating a little pizza...

And I kept looking at Christy trying to figure out why she looked so weird! Well she was practicing for her Halloween costume...can't tell you what it is but will post pictures later!

And when we got home...all Jase wanted to do was hold his brother! I love these two little boys with all of my heart! I am so thankful for what God has given me!

And here we are as a family...

I warned you...lots of updates. I am trying to stay on top of this blog thing...work full time, take care of my family, and get myself in Graduate school! I can't wait for the next chapter in my life! Have a great week!

Back to reality and October Birthdays!

I wanted to do something fun prior to my return to work. I begged Jason for a short beach trip...well he wouldn't give in! So I talked him into going to the TN game when we played Ohio. He didn't want to go because it was supposed to rain...well he gave in and we head to K town with Kevin and Heidi. It has been forever since we have been able to hang out with them! I thought Jason bought tickets...he didn't. He told me not to worry...so I didn't. We stopped and ate lunch at Hooters in Knoxville and got to the stadium just minutes before the game started. We were across the street from the stadium and Jason approached a guy selling tickets...we bought 2 tickets on the 10 yard line 3 rows back for $40! We had AWESOME seats! We called Kevin and Heidi (who were sitting on the very top row of the stadium and they headed down to sit with us!

Here we are at the game

Here are Heidi and I (look how close we are to the field!!!)

I am so blessed to have her in our lives...she is an awesome aunt to our boys! my parents didn't give me siblings so I just love her to death! Can't wait for my nieces or nephews to arrive (NO she is NOT expecting). I will be the best aunt possible. They better look out if they have the little girls!

So I survived my first week back to work...it was really hard to leave little Jax but I felt much better knowing that My grandmother (GG) was at home taking care of him. Work itself hadn't changed one bit! It has been nice to be back on a schedule, but would much rather be at home watching my baby grow!

I got several text messages from Jason on my second day back to work (he was home with the boys until my grandmother arrived)
here is Jax just hanging out

and I love getting these types of pictures...look close...this is Jase eating an ICEE for BREAKFAST!!

My grandmother was worried about Jase pitching a fit about having to go to school and not staying at home with GG so I had to be creative to get him out the door by telling him we would stop and get an ICEE. She said that she wouldn't keep Jax if Jase got in trouble about not wanting to go to school! He was so excited about getting home and seeing Jax...he forgot about his ICEE so I put it in the freezer and Daddy let him have it for breakfast!

October is a busy birthday month! It starts on October 7th which is Mike's birthday (my father-in-law), Oct 9 is my dad's birthday, Oct 11 is Jason's and my aunt Jerri's, Oct 13 is Kevin's, and Oct 25 is my grandmother's. Crazy month!

Friday night was a girls night out! What a way to end my first week back to work...hanging with those that I just love to be with! We started out with dinner at Olive Garden...not very enjoyable due to the threat of tornado's touching down in our area (they didn't put all of our phones were ringing off the hook). Once we realized we were not going to be sucked away...the night was much more enjoyable! After dinner we headed to Becca's to get none the less..socks...for Bowling. We had such a good time. When I got home...the boys were in bed!

Friday was also my dad's 50th birthday! Mom took him to Ft Lauder dale to visit some friends and they headed to the Keys for a few days. They had a great time. They went deep sea fishing and this was the outcome of that...

Mom said they headed to the marina and fried this fish and ate it...head and all! Well I don't think they ate the head...but they fried it! My dad is the one on the right. Thank God everyday for a wonderful family and for giving me such an awesome dad! He has been very instrumental in my life.

Saturday was just as crazy as the rest of the week! But I did get to sleep in a little! Then it was up and at it...I had a baby shower to attend for a very old friend... Gina Young Goodman. She is due in Nov with her first child and his name is Braylon (will call him Bray). Marti and our little babies and I went shopping that morning then headed over to the shower. We had a great time and it was so nice to catch up with old friends. Then off to Marti and Blakes for chili dinner! Her hubby had dinner ready when we got there! It was a little crazy...4 adults and 4 children...She has a 2 year old little boy, Brody and an 9 week old little girl, Brynlie. We had fun but a little crazy with all the kido's!

Sunday was just as crazy...Church at 10 and then lunch at noon for Jason's birthday with a few friends from church. We have been so blessed with our friends! God is good all the time...and all the time God is good. Jason was excited that I planned a little something for his birthday! I think he was more excited about the gift I got him...a new gun (picture to follow). Boys and their toys!
Went home for a little nap and then we went to the Ronald McDonald fair at the River park. We have went every year so Jason was bound and determined to take Jase. Ant then you guessed it...back to church for Awana's. After church we went to Jason's favorite restaurant...Outback. We met the Moses clan. Jase loves all the cool things Kevin teaches him and the silly things Kevin will do with him. I have some pictures of Kevin and Jase doing this silly dance that Heidi was instructing...I'll post those later on.

So I am taking a big leap...I've applied for graduate school at UTC. I hope to earn a Masters in Education with Licensure. I am very nervous, but I am following my heart and desire. So, I ask for your prayers! And maybe assistance!
Hope you all are having a blessed day!

Little Jax & Big brother

Wow...time is flying by! It has been 6 weeks since Jax was born! He is doing so well...very strong little boy

Yes, this is Jax! I put him on his tummy and this is what we got! I was so excited to see those little muscules!

I went last week and got a new look! I was so scared that Jax wouldn't recognize me...hasn't bothered him yet! He still loves me to death... Now, Jason and Jase can't get used to it...but say they like it??

Look at his little boy taking a nap...hands above his head...finger in his ear!

And now on game day...GO VOLS!! We expected to get beat really bad but the game wasn't so bad...Defense was awesome! We were ready with our big T shirt thanks to the Kyle's (family friends)...

Here is our new DIY family picture...hope to have some new ones made really soon. This will have to do for now...

Well...it's almost time for everyone to get up from nap and get ready to head back to church. Still loving life!

Family time

Last Wednesday we went to the new and improved Chattanooga Zoo! We left the house and guess what...it started pouring down rain! As if that was a big surprise since it has rained for 7 days! Did I mention that it is $1 Wednesday at the zoo??? And wow...they have made some major renovations! We had a great time! It rained all around us...but not at the zoo!

Here are the boys at the zoo...

Jase loved the monkeys...as soon as he walked up this cute guy came over and played peak-a-boo with him! Crazy!

Looks like daddy and Jase in this picture? Not sure...what do you think?

Look at this awesome new carousal at the zoo...Jase just had to ride the coyote! Crazy kid!

After the zoo...mommy finally got the meal that I had wanted since the night I had Jax...Chicken Ramano with Salad and lots of rolls from Provino's!!!! That is the best place to eat...but not Jason's favorite?? It was so good!

We are loving our family time and adjusting to our new addition! Our children are such a blessing from God! We are so thankful for everyday!

Playing at Nana and Papa's

Almost 10 years ago (before children were thought of) mom and dad bought a house on the lake!! It is so cool to go up there and enjoy the nice and quiet and have an awesome view! Jase absolutely loves going up there!! This summer he has enjoyed running and jumping off of the doc...this has been dad's dream since they bought the house!

Another favorite past time is fishing...not a lot of patience but does get really excited once he catches something with his Spider man fishing rod (Thanks to Drake George!)

When I was in the hospital (having Jax)...mom sent me a video of Jase doing a flip off of the doc into the water! Talk about having a heart attack! (I'll post after she sends it again)

This is an old picture...but shows the awesome view at dusk!

So during the winter this is what Jase would rather do than anything! He loves to dig in the dirt!

While Jase has been out playing...this is what Jax likes to do (for now)...

The boys with Nana and Papa after one of our dinners (while daddy is working we go eat yummy food that daddy will not eat!) on the back porch...

Can't wait to see if Jax loves his time at mom and dad's!! Jason and I were talking about how sad we were that we didn't get to go out on the boat this year! Oh well...we've got plenty of years ahead of us...Lord willing! Next year we will have two little water boys!

I'm off to a shower while Jax is taking one of his many naps!
