Going to school, Our nephew, 1st BD party, Labor Day weekend & First Haircut

Well, the title says it all! I've gotten behind and lots has happened so be prepared for lots of pictures!

Our "little" boy has started Kindergarten!! He had a great first day and seems to really enjoy the big boy school!

I've been waiting on my Sister-in-law (SIL) Heidi Moses href="http://marriedtoamoses.blogspot.com/"> to update her blog with the exciting news about little Kaden's arrival, but I can't wait any longer! Kaden Avery was born on 8/15/10 at 9:35am He and Mommy are doing well and everyone is so in love with him! I've thoroughly enjoyed my time with him and can't wait watch him grow up!

We had Jax's first birthday party at his Nana & Papa's house. What a day! It started out really hot and wouldn't you know it started raining just before everyone showed up. Everything was perfect! The food was good, the cake was awesome (thank you Michelle Ray), we had a great turn out and the kids had a blast! Jax really loved his cake! He just dove right in...

We had a great Labor day weekend! Friday night the boys went to their mamaw's house (thank you MIL), daddy worked, & Mommy went to Rebecca's house for a girls night in! We had a great time eating, talking, competitions, card games, food, & a great way to end the night...watching New Moon!

Saturday morning Jason and I went to pick up the boys and headed to Lake Winne with the Dotson's

I have fallen to the peer pressure...and got my little man's hair cut :(
One of my very best friends, Lessie, is very close to completing hair school and she was honored when I called to ask if her if she would cut his hair! She did an awesome job and he was very good too! But I'm missing his little curls...it does look better but I've got to get past this little pitty party! I just can't believe he is growing up so fast!

I'll be back with an update of the house...

Little boy growing up fast

Jax Evan Moses...turned 1 Saturday August 7th!! I honestly think this year has went by way to fast! It seems just like yesterday we were bringing him home and starting our family as a party of 4! He has changed our family in so many ways...he completed us!

Mr Jax,

You are such a sweet little boy and so happy! You are wearing 12 months clothes, eating everything in site (loves chicken, pimento cheese, cream of chicken soup and crackers, Milk, juice, & anything sweet!)You are still staying with your GG while mommy and daddy work. Still taking 2 naps a day unless it's Sunday and you go to bed around 8ish and sleep until 7:30is the next morning. You are so easy to put to bed...give you your pacci and lay you down. You love playing with Jase and following him around the house. You don't really like riding in the car but we are working on that! You are so loved by so many people and you seem to love everyone your around especially your Nana, Mamaw and GG. Can't wait until you start walking and I don't think it will be too much longer :(

Can't get any better than this!

I love these two little boys more than life itself! I couldn't imagine my life without them! Thank you God for our healthy, happy, sweet, & loving boys!

I can't believe my little man will be a year old 3 weeks from Saturday. Where has the time gone??? I hope this puts a big smile on your face just like it did mine!

Big boy

Yes, it's already that time! I never thought I'd have this feeling of sadness, but I do! He is too little to have to carry his own lunch tray, go to the potty by himself, find his own seat, and defend himself! I love this little lunch box and the little boy on it!

Back Already

WOW! That was a fun quick trip! A great time was had by all! We left Chattanooga at 2:45AM Saturday morning and arrived at our destination at 10:35AM. I felt like I had walked into the life style of the rich and famous when I walked into the condo. It was very nice and huge! Very spacious! We really needed this vacation, but by the time it was ending...we really needed to come home! The kids loved the beach this year. Jase rode the waves almost the whole time! He showed NO fear...what-so-ever!! Which made me really nervous. It also reminded me of myself when I was a little one...I wore my dad out...let's go ride the waves! And that's exactly what Jase did. Jax wasn't so sure at first...but by the end of the trip...he was down eating and playing in the sand. The highlight of the trip was watching the fireworks at the beach from our balcony! That was awesome!! Jax missed the whole thing because he was already in bed.

This was our first family picture taken at the beach

Jase Riding the waves...he loved it!

Jax loving the beach!

For some reason...I'm having a hard time uploading pictures...so the rest will follow later.

Beach bound

Well as soon as Jason can make it home from work (in the middle of the night) we are hopping in the car and heading to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Last night we, I mean I, spent the night packing and making sure everything was right where it needed to be. After the bags were packed we loaded the car - minus the milk and the anticipation of when we are leaving began! We are very excited about this trip...for several reasons.
1. We need it! We've been stressed with the sell of the house and living from here to there...and work has been CRAZY!
2. Jase is old enough to really enjoy this year! Can't wait to play in the sand and do some body surfing with him!
3. It's Jax's first beach trip! He loves the water so we hope he will have a ton of fun!
4. We'll be with family! It's our first trip with Kevin and Heidi to the beach! Jase loves them so much because they give him loads of attention! I hope they are well rested...because he's been talking about all the stuff they are going to do!
5. Looking forward to the 4th at the beach! And family pictures in our Red, White, & Blue!

We hope when we return we can move into our condo and we will BREAK ground on our house. I'm so excited about what's to come...but I'm more than ready to start this process!

Check back with us next weekend sometime!

This was our first family picture at the beach...Jax was just about to make his grand entrance into the world! Can't wait to see the pictures this year!

A night out

Last night to celebrate our anniversary we went to dinner at the Chop House...it's one our favorite places as a couple - we each love different places but we both really like this place so this was the chosen spot. We were greeted by a really sweet hostess that took us to our seat in the corner and as she sat us down she said - Do you know Heidi Moses? Yep I sure do, that's my SIL. She said I thought so...I went to Disney with you guys and played softball for Heidi. What a sweet girl. Dinner was great...talking with limited interruption! We love our boys, but a little adult conversation was really nice! We talked about what we've accomplished over the 8 years and what we are looking forward to.

That same sweet girl that sat us, Sara, took our picture for us!

I convinced Jason to just "run" in Kohls to get Jase a pair of flip flops for our upcoming trip and he reluctantly agreed. Well...no flip flops but 2 bathing suit bottoms later we headed home.

I must say a huge Thank you to Allison Tate for keeping the boys for us. I love that she loves kids so much! I left and never thought about the safety of the boys one bit. That makes a mommy happy! So Thank you Miss Allison! You made our night fabulous...

I did find it very funny that the first thing she said was "Jase got scratched" my response was ok - he'll be fine. She said No, really he got scratched. Well...I guess the appropriate way to put it...Jase got attacked by a stray cat! Seriously! He had puncture wounds all over his head and scratches from here to there. She said they were on the porch and she told Jase not to leave the porch while she went in to fix Jax a bottle. Well...Jase has had a problem with listening these days...so he saw a cat and went to pick it up. I think he learned a valuable lesson!

Thank you again Allison for taking time out of your day to watch our little Angels and allow Jason and I enjoy a night out. I hope you'll answer your phone the next time we need a night away!
